Homeschool Sewing Classes
Weekly homeschool sewing classes are a fun extra-curricular activity to reinforce skills such as problem solving, reading comprehension, math, creativity, and more. In weekly classes, sewists will learn to sew using the world renowned curriculum by Kids Can Sew. Starting with the basics, students progress in their skills and knowledge as they work through their pattern workbooks. They will learn how to read and understand patterns and instructions, pattern layout, how to safely use the sewing machine, and more.

Tuition is based upon an average of 3 classes per month throughout the school year (September-May). You are not charged extra for months with 4 or 5 classes. The extra classes are built in as make up days for times when I need to cancel class due to weather, sickness, emergencies, or any other events that may require cancelation.
Sewing Machines & Sewing Tools (scissors, pins, etc.) are provided. Student supply their own fabric for each project. Elastic and thread is provided.
Learn To Sew
I am a Registered Kids Can Sew® Instructor and use the Kids Can Sew® curriculum to teach each child to sew.
After school classes focus on clothing, however we also make some fun craft projects. Students supply their own fabric. Classes are held in my home studio in Dublin.
Projects Students Sew
Students start with the Level 1 Collection and progress to the next level upon completion. Students progress at their own pace. Each level takes approximately 1-2 school years to complete, depending upon their level of progression.
What Students Learn
Students will start with the basics as they build their foundation of learning. Students learn how to thread and operate a sewing machine, pin, cut fabric, hem, casings, iron, use a pattern, follow instructions and "sew" much more.
